Mathematics, physics, computation, and intelligent systems.

I’m Brandon Keppinger, an undergraduate interested in mathematics, physics, artificial intelligence, and computer science. I’m especially drawn to problems where theoretical ideas can be understood deeply, implemented, tested, and turned into working systems.

Current focus

I’m currently working on hands-on machine learning projects with an emphasis on understanding models from first principles. After building a neural network from scratch in NumPy, I’m now building a transformer and documenting its architecture and implementation in detail.

What this site is for

This site is a home base for projects, explanations, and experiments across mathematics, physics, artificial intelligence, and software. I use it to document what I build and to make difficult ideas as clear as I can.
